Hi! A little bit about me.

My mind often wonders and wanders! This blog is my disciplined way of writing out my “wondering” and “wandering” sort of like journaling.

My job: I learn with, teach and mentor high school students at Central Christian School in Kidron, OH. (www.centralchristianschool.org) in my classroon: Room 500! Titles of classes I currently teach these courses: Old Testament Survey (grade 9), New Testament Survey (grades 10 and 11), Kingdom Living (grade 12) and World Religions (grade 11-12 elective). PS: I love my job! Often I’m left with my own thoughts, sometimes a student makes a comment I keep thinking about and sometimes I think I’ve heard God through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

My family: Julie is my life-long friend, partner and “critic;” She keeps me grounded. 🙂 We have four adult children – all married – and nine grandchildren! WoHoo! PS: I love my family, am proud of each of them and pray for them. My happiest days are when we’re together as family.

Aside from these I keep active with running, gardening, reading, … well if you read my entries you may actually figure out what I do with my time. I confess I get “lost” in my thoughts when I’m working alone, but I love and am comfortable with solitude.

Finally, I’m a follower of Jesus with an Anabaptist worldview. I’m still learning …

My hope is that whenever and whatever I write may encourage, prod, inspire and motivate for day-to-day living the writer and reader alike. Thanks for reading and responding!
